The “Full Moon” in August is on the 19th and is very special this year, as it is both classed as a “Super Moon” and a “Blue Moon”. It is called a “Super Moon” because it peaks at a closer than usual proximity to the earth and appears much bigger in the sky because of it, it is also is the first “Super Moon” of 2024.
A “Full Moon” is named a “Blue Moon” as it is the third of four full moons this season, which is quite an unusual occurrence. August “Full Moon” is named The “Sturgeon Moon” in relation to the sturgeon season, as this is the time the Giant Sturgeon were readily caught in the “Great Lakes”. This “Full Moon” is associated with inner reflection and taking a break.

Whatever is happening in your life; it is important to take some time out for yourself. For our magic you need to allow yourself not a moments peace but an hour of peace.
If the weather allows light a fire or firepit in your garden. Pull up a chair and star gaze. Allow your mind to wonder and if you feel distracted find a star or point in the night sky to keep your focus on.
Star gazing is an ancient practice, some will suddenly feel relation like they have not done in some time, others will be inspired by memories or ideas. The important aspect of this is to relax and let your mind wander. Let go of control for just a short while.
If for any reason you cannot go outside you can do the same in a dark room with one candle lit or you can just lie back in the dark. The important thing to experience is the inner peace and the inner listening and sensing
When you come to the end of this special hour take a piece of paper and write a commitment to yourself. Choose 4 agreements your are wanting to have with yourself and the universe.
1) Agreement regarding speaking or communication
2) Agreement regarding pro-action or change
3) Agreement regarding release or forgiveness
4) Agreement regarding stability and life path.
Write the agreement in any format you choose, when completed sign and date the paper. You can then burn the paper or if not possible bury it into the earth. An agreement is between two parties, remember if you full fill your part the Universe will assist you further . The agreements are an exercise in TRUST and DISCIPLINE. The universe will echo your actions and words always choose wisely!
