The full moon in May is on the 12th and is named ” The Flower Moon”.<\/p>\n

The name “Flower Moon” was given by Native American tribes, particularly the Algonquin people, who observed the abundant blooming of flowers in May.
\nThe “Flower Moon” is sometimes also called the “Budding Moon,” “Leaf Budding Moon,” or “Planting Moon,”.<\/p>\n

This\u00a0 “Flower Moon” will be a micromoon, meaning it will be further away from Earth than usual.\u00a0This occurs because the moon orbits Earth in an elliptical path, and the Flower Moon will be at apogee, the point where it’s furthest from Earth.<\/p>\n

Astrologically the “Flower Moon”\u00a0is\u00a0 associated with heightened emotions, clarity, and confirmation.\u00a0It can also bring\u00a0 about a sense of tension and excitement, enhancing personal and collective growth.<\/p>\n

Full Moon Magic<\/u><\/h2>\n

The weather is kinder in May allowing the spell caster to be outside. If it is at all possible, stand under the Full moon. Light a candle and\/or incense to create a peaceful sacred space to create magic.<\/p>\n

You will need a piece of plain paper (not waxed) a pen\/pens\/pencil and small trawl.<\/p>\n

On the piece of paper<\/em><\/h3>\n

Draw some roots at the bottom … along the roots list what experiences have shaped your world, they may feel a positive or negative influence.<\/p>\n

Then draw a stem leading from the roots. In this stem consider what you have learnt from the roots how it has shaped you and your awareness of your world.\u00a0 Write within the stalk your findings.<\/p>\n

Next we have the leaves, draw as many leaves as you wish and fill them with people who have influenced your life. Consider this a statement of gratitude.<\/p>\n

We are now at the top where the Flower is to bloom.<\/p>\n

In the centre draw a circle and fill it with your personal objective. You may want to write something about a relationship, study, career or house move (these are only examples).<\/p>\n

Around the circle create the petals\u00a0 now is time to listen to your higher self, inner voice or guides. In each petal write something that will get you closer to your personal objective or goal.<\/p>\n

Sign and date the drawing and fold it into a small size.<\/p>\n
