April 2018 – Monthly Horoscope<\/strong><\/h1>\n

There is a LOT going on the astrological front! With the Sun having been in Aries since March 20th- well, our April monthly horoscope is always going to involve some elements of assertiveness and individuality. This year- that\u2019s not different. The thing is, this year that Aries assertiveness is getting a bit of unexpected backup or brick walls- depending on how you take it. What could possibly be more stubborn than Aries? We\u2019ll get to that in a moment. <\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>Though Aries is well known as something of an \u2018All Or Nothing\u2019 sign, there is quite a lot of reason to find a middle ground this month. Though no one particularly likes to think of our relationships as an investment- this is precisely what they are. We will all be seeing reminders of this. Our April monthly horoscope is certainly blasting the overall message: you do in fact, get what you give. <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>We can start with the fact that Aries and Capricorn square eachother. This does indicate the need for a middle ground and some tact. Are you laughing about either of those words in respect to Aries or Capricorn? <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>The Sun <\/span>is<\/b> in Aries, which, is known to be very impulsive and aggressive. Uranus, the planet of impulsive and rebellious behavior is<\/span> also<\/i><\/b> in Aries. So is Mercury, presently still retrograde. <\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>Capricorn, what on earth are you doing in April\u2019s Monthly Horoscope?<\/strong> <\/span><\/h2>\n

Saturn in Capricorn seems only natural. Pluto, the cosmic control freak being there seems right, too. However, on first blush: Mars being in Capricorn may appear to you to be stifling. I mean, stodgy Capricorn has Mars? This is not actually a conflict at all, in fact: we use the word \u2018<\/span>exalted<\/span><\/i>\u2019 \u00a0to describe this particular placement.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

However, looking at Aries and looking at Capricorn: it\u2019s clear that without a balance, that\u2019s a mess just waiting to happen. Ever watched an Aries argue with a Capricorn? If you\u2019ve played mediator: you know they\u2019re not actually that different. If you WERE one of the two: you don\u2019t like to admit it, but you know that\u2019s true. <\/span>
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>Mars\u2019 placement in Capricorn isn\u2019t conflicting- that\u2019s something both Aries and Capricorn would love to be: \u2018<\/span>exalted<\/span><\/i>\u2019. At the top. How they get there is where the problem happens. Capricorn knows there are tried and true methods to get there. Aries, on the other hand, wants to be the one who invents those methods. They\u2019re both Cardinal Signs: so they both get things started. <\/span><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the snag- if anything will show you the need to balance those parts of yourself, in your own chart and in your own life: it\u2019s our April monthly horoscope. Aries wants to rush forward, Capricorn wants to push forward: but for the most part, with 4 planets in retrograde, there will be no rushing. Plenty of desire to do so, but until the balance is had, plenty of very clear illustrations in terms of why you shouldn\u2019t. <\/span><\/p>\n

New Moon on the 15th April<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Sure, Mercury stations direct right at our New Moon in Aries on the 15th- but the new beginnings we see emerge will need care and caution to fully evolve. You might have seen some enchanting new connections during this Mercury Retrograde cycle. Bit of a Venus and Pluto influence pushing that. The thing is, for as fated as it may all feel, jealousy and control aren\u2019t the way to go, though they might feel like it. You cannot control others- and the point, then, is how well you control yourself. Not always an easy task, but a worthwhile one: particularly with Saturn\u2019s stern influence watching the whole thing. <\/span><\/p>\n

This month may be a powerful time to really take a step back and a long hard look. It may sound like Capricorn is winning the month in stifling Aries. The truth is, Capricorn could use some work, too. We may find ourselves examining our beliefs and the various influences in our lives. Sometimes, what you\u2019ve been holding on to really is what\u2019s been holding you back. Guilt, toxic attachments, insecurities, and other wounds from our past may need reexamination. What influence do they still hold on our actions, now?<\/span><\/p>\n

So, you start to get your bearings. Then, there\u2019s Taurus.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

On the 19th, the Sun moves from Aries to Taurus. Happy birthday! And, we are certainly all glad you\u2019ve shown up for our April monthly horoscope. Who\u2019s the one usually playing the stable, even minded diplomat? You probably read the part about Aries and Capricorn arguing, thinking, \u201cYes, and I\u2019m the one who\u2019s got to calm them down!\u201d <\/span>

\n<\/span>Oh, yes. This influence brings a bit more calm to the month. However, if you\u2019re not careful and you haven\u2019t actively worked out a balance- it can also bring more headbutting into things. The thing about Taurus is this, though: they tend to show rather than say. Which may be exactly what\u2019s in order as the month moves on. <\/span><\/p>\n

This month, there will be plenty of urge to speak your mind. The problem is, the truth behind your opinion may be colored by your perception. Same as the person speaking the truth TO you. Taurus is all about fine compromise as it promotes balance: but the bull does not settle for less than the best. Taurus, Aries, and Capricorn all have that in common. <\/span><\/p>\n

Full Moon in Scorpio<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Closing the month with a Full Moon in Scorpio on the 29th? It\u2019s safe to say that our April monthly horoscope shows us more about ourselves than it does others. Specifically, when we start to better understand how we\u2019ve lied to ourselves about what or who we deserve. We go through the month, recognizing the red flags we\u2019ve ignored, the steps we tried to skip or those we were too afraid to take. Somewhere within all of that, we find the strength to let go and the will to move forward not just in harmony with others- but, ourselves as well. <\/span><\/p>\n
