Sometimes it can feel like we are battered by the storms of life<\/strong> and love<\/strong>. It feels as though we become worn away. Much in the same way waves erode a cliff face. <\/span><\/p>\n

We lose self-respect<\/strong>, we lose self-love<\/strong> and we, therefore, undervalue ourselves. When we find ourselves single, we go on a quest to attract love into our lives!<\/span><\/p>\n

Love<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Though it does not always work<\/strong>. We attract the wrong person or we find ourselves trapped in a toxic relationship. When someone leaves us, however horrid they have been, we want them back. <\/span><\/p>\n

We pile negative feelings<\/strong> of ourselves, onto what is lurking beneath the surface. <\/span>So, we get caught in this trap that no one loves us. We take the first person that offers us the smallest amount of attention<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

More often than not, this relationship turns sour and we end up in ever-decreasing circles. Sometimes it is very hard to break this cycle because we try not to acknowledge<\/strong> that we don\u2019t like ourselves or even why we don\u2019t. <\/span><\/p>\n

Learning to love the person you are<\/strong> as an individual, is a great way of bringing balance back<\/strong> into our lives.<\/span><\/p>\n

When we identify<\/strong> what aspects of our lives<\/strong> we need to address, we can work on loving ourselves again. Sometimes we work what we need to do ourselves. Whatever the way forward, it is a positive step on the journey.<\/span><\/p>\n

What happens when we love ourselves<\/strong>? We stop accepting second best, we learn to see our true worth<\/strong>. We learn to say no, we learn although our heart and soul wants to be loved. <\/span><\/p>\n

Learning<\/span>\u00a0that we deserve someone who will respect<\/strong> us, cherish<\/strong> us and work in a mutual way of communication<\/strong> and problem-solving. In short, we can create a relationship, not a one-sided romance.<\/p>\n

We can attract to ourselves the right sort of love<\/strong>. Self-love is not the same as being egotistical. It is knowing our worth based on fact and not having to shout from the rooftops about how fabulous we are. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
