We can genuinely want to feel calm and relaxed, but we don&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>This can come upon us at any time of the day. But also, a lot of people are telling us that they are <strong>waking up at\u00a0night<\/strong> and then finding it difficult to go back to sleep again.<\/p>\n<p>Once they start thinking, it goes on and on and going to sleep becomes\u00a0difficult. So, below find<strong> six great relaxation tips<\/strong> that may help you at any time of day or night.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7507\" src=\"https:\/\/psychictoday.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/meditation-shutterstock_375801919.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"657\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>1. Three Minute Meditation.<\/h2>\n<p>Sit in an upright position, on a chair, at the edge of your bed, wherever you choose. Place your feet flat on the floor, place your hands on your thighs in an upwards cupped position. <strong>Sit up straight<\/strong>, but not<strong> rigidly<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Now <strong>close your eyes<\/strong> and start to breathe in deeply through your nose and out through your mouth as is comfortable for you. Do this several times.<\/p>\n<p>Then, after taking several breathes in through your nose and out through your mouth, begin to <strong>release any tensions<\/strong> you may be holding onto.<\/p>\n<p>Breathe in through your nose, and as you breathe out, <strong>feel your neck relax<\/strong>. The next time you breathe out, feel your shoulders relax.<\/p>\n<p>Then continue\u00a0this with each breath\u00a0out; feel your <strong>chest relax<\/strong>, then feel your <strong>tummy relax<\/strong>, then your arms, your hands, your hips, your thighs. your\u00a0legs and your feet.<\/p>\n<p>Now with each breath out, release any stress you have. You can even say to yourself <strong>&#8220;I am now releasing all stress&#8221;<\/strong>. As you breathe out, visualise this stress coming out of your tummy area.<\/p>\n<p>Do the same with any fear you may feel. <strong>&#8220;I am now releasing my fears&#8221;<\/strong>.
