Ribbon Readings – with Hands of an Angel<\/h1>\n

Ribbon Readings<\/strong> are a very old Celtic<\/strong><\/a> way of connecting with energies, in the same kind of way as with flowers<\/a><\/strong> and jewellery<\/a><\/strong> etc.<\/p>\n

They are thought to have originated from the travelling folk as they moved from land to land. They used them to do readings<\/a><\/strong>, as we do today, and of course, also to sell them to be worn in our hair.<\/p>\n

A Brief History of Ribbons<\/h2>\n

During pagan<\/strong><\/a> times, ribbons were also used in many ceremonies. This included handfasting at weddings; a ceremony where ribbons bind and wrap the couple\u2019s hands together signifying the bond together.<\/p>\n

Literally the \u201ctying of the knot<\/em><\/strong>.\u201d They were also used around the maypole, where the dancers would hold onto them while weaving in and out with their dancing.<\/p>\n

The old song \u201cTie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree<\/a><\/strong>,\u201d<\/em> also has historic roots. Yellow ribbons were tried around trees for lost and missing loved ones.<\/p>\n

Ribbons were and still are used to send messages to offer support and have raised money for many charities. i.e.\u00a0Pink<\/span><\/b>\u00a0for\u00a0breast cancer,\u00a0Red\u00a0<\/span><\/b>for AIDS awareness\u00a0and\u00a0Brown\u00a0<\/span><\/b>for Anti Tabacco.<\/p>\n

What do the ribbon colours mean?<\/h2>\n

There is no PRECISE<\/em><\/strong> or SET MEANING<\/em><\/strong> to the reading of the ribbons. Each ribbon holds its own message<\/strong>, as there are various different interpretations of meanings of each colour.<\/p>\n

You can choose your meaning simply by reading intuitively or using a variety of ways to interpret the colour. Some examples might be a reading by Chakra<\/strong><\/a> colour or reading using fixed meanings. Here are simple examples;<\/p>\n

White<\/span><\/b> – Spiritual healing, soul connection, wisdom, pureness and goodness.<\/p>\n

Red<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/b>– Passion, lively nature, excess energy, vitality, willpower, the roots.<\/p>\n

Orange\u00a0<\/span><\/b>– Creativity, emotional strength, ability in relationships.<\/p>\n

Yellow<\/span><\/strong> – Personal power, abundance, travel.<\/p>\n

Green<\/span><\/b> – Love of nature, growth like a plant, a good and positive sign.<\/p>\n

Light Blue\u00a0<\/span><\/b>– Communication, air connectivity, security.<\/p>\n

Dark Blue<\/span><\/b> – Success in long-term plans, clear thinking.<\/p>\n

Purple\u00a0<\/span><\/b>– Spiritual connection, third eye connection, psychic ability.<\/p>\n

Pink<\/span><\/b> – Love, romance, friendship, peace.<\/p>\n

Brown<\/span><\/b> – Grounding, earthy, practicality.<\/p>\n

Black<\/span><\/b> –\u00a0 Absorbing negativity, standstill.<\/p>\n

How do you read the ribbons?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Start with a good variety of ribbons. You can include a few of the same colour. The length is also up to you. Ribbons are a form of Psychometry<\/em><\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and are therefore read by the sense of touch and\/or sight.<\/p>\n

Open your intuitive senses and see what you can then pick up with your thoughts and through your touch. The ribbons may have a rough or smooth<\/strong> texture, bumps<\/strong>, threads<\/strong> pulled out etc.<\/p>\n

So thus, be aware of your touch with these. Also, you can look at the ribbons, as depending on how your intuitive sense is formed, this may also be relevant to you.<\/p>\n

With practice, you will hone your insights<\/strong> and understand<\/strong> how your own senses work, when doing these ribbon readings yourself. It is possible to ask a question and use the ribbons to gain insight.<\/p>\n

Or indeed, it is possible simply to do ribbon readings without a specific question, and consequently see what the ribbons come up with<\/p>\n

Which colour ribbon are you drawn to?<\/p><\/div>\n

Starting your Ribbon Reading<\/h2>\n

To start the ribbon reading<\/strong>, ruffle the ribbons from side to side to get stale energies off them and to notarise the ribbons so you or your client can work with them.<\/p>\n

If you are reading for someone, ask the client to hold all the ribbons. Then ask them to select three ribbons and then give them back to you, the reader.<\/p>\n

As you are handed back the ribbons you will start to feel a sense of touch and start working with them being (1)\u00a0PAST<\/strong> (2) PRESENT<\/strong> (3) FUTURE<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

You can do a longer reading if you require, but this is just how to do a mini reading.<\/p>\n

An Example Reading<\/h2>\n

This is a small reading by myself to a client.<\/p>\n

Yellow<\/strong><\/span>, Red<\/strong><\/span> and Orange<\/strong><\/span>. These were the 3 colour ribbons she chose.<\/p>\n

Past<\/strong> –\u00a0Yellow<\/strong><\/span>.<\/h3>\n

This tells me that the past has been very good for this person. I, therefore, feel they have not had many troubles or major hiccups in life.<\/p>\n

The yellow colour means summer months. It can also represent not getting your fingers burnt in any transactions, but as I said, overall it is a good past.<\/p>\n

Present<\/strong> – Red<\/span><\/b>.<\/h3>\n

This tells me that the client needs to be grounded. So, therefore, at the moment, I feel they shouldn\u2019t rush into anything. They should really think it out first.<\/p>\n

Watch they don\u2019t say anything that could be misinterpreted, as possibly others may then misunderstand what they mean.<\/p>\n

Overall you should, therefore, stay on guard. Otherwise, things look good and I feel if you keep your wits about you, you are honestly on the right pathway.<\/p>\n

Future<\/strong> – Orange<\/span><\/b>.<\/h3>\n

Once again a good omen, the orange also had a fleck of green in it too. Consequently, this will tell me matters of the heart need to be taken slowly, as maybe things may need to be balanced out.<\/p>\n

Therefore, don\u2019t rush into anything in the future, research first. Orange, like yellow, could, of course, represent the sun. I, therefore, do see good news around July and August on the way.<\/p>\n

I feel this is around the 8th (there were 8 flecks of green). So, follow the flow of good news on the way, from house move to work or just on life’s pathway.<\/p>\n
