Yes, 13 years have passed since the dawn of Psychic TV in the UK!<\/p>\n<p>Celebrate our 13th birthday with a trip down memory lane with us. Meet some of the stars of Psychic TV who are still with us today. Find out how from small beginnings, your favourite psychic TV show has expanded to a broader spectrum of psychic entertainment with over 200 psychics in our team. Back then,\u00a0the first shows lasted for just a couple of hours. They were broadcasted from a makeshift studio. Psychics were invited to give test readings and then go live on TV a few days later if they passed. John Healey remembers;<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u201cTo begin with a small space was made in a temporary studio to start the shows. When I went to be tested by Joanna the presenter, there was nowhere to sit down, so we went to the Starbucks across the road. I was very nervous doing a test reading in a public place! When I look back at it, that does make me smile!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>John recalls that the starting of Psychic TV was a ground-breaking event. Never in the history of British Television had there ever been a show committed to the psychic world, with interactivity offered live to the viewers. John and Inbaal were two of the first psychics to step in front of the cameras in the makeshift studio. John recalls;<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201c A pair of fluffy angel wings fell off the wall when we were live!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<h2><strong><u>Psychic Interactive spreads its wings<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Joanna was lady with foresight and bright ideas who was very open minded. \u00a0Initially she interviewed recommended psychics, some of whom are still with Psychic Today in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>She did her best to create a \u201cpsychic space\u201d in the tight studio space that was made available. She allowed the show to grow organically. Psychics could create their own psychic material to discuss and Joanna would try to give them the best platform to entertain and educate the viewing public. Thus, the world of Psychic Interactive was formed and began to grow.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time the \u201cat home team\u201d of psychics at the end of a phone was developed. Its readers included Anne Scholes and Annie Lund. The lovely Annie Lund is still part of today\u2019s at- home psychics and enjoys giving readings to many to this day.<\/p>\n<h2><strong><u>Counting our Lucky Stars<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Anne Scholes first appearance was on 22<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0April, with fellow psychic David Wells. She remembers nervously saying to him just before going live on TV for her first ever show;\u00a0<em>\u201c I am such a baby David, I\u2019ve only been doing this for two years.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>And David smiled and replied\u00a0<em>\u201c\u201cNonsense Anne, you have been doing this all your life!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Anne did a 2 hour stint on her first show and was asked to come back for further broadcasts. She has never stopped since then and is still with the show making regular appearances today.<\/p>\n<p>Among the cast of many psychics who appeared in the early days, was the lovely Laura Daligan, then with dark hair. Laura still graces our screens but is now recognised for her red hair as well as her genuine charm. A special mention also goes to the late Henry Cumming, who sadly departed from us this year aged just 42.<\/p>\n<p>Psychic Today has been the home to many psychics who became well known and well loved; Karina with her crystals. Sally Love who has recently returned to us once again. Andie Hudson who still makes regular appearances and also writes Psychic Today blogs. And of course, the fabulous Mr Raymond Castrogiovanni; the fascinating and loveable astrologer who also appears regularly and is currently writing a series of blogs on Tarot cards.<\/p>\n<h2><strong><u>\u00a0Anne&#8217;s funny stories<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Anne recalls she was with Abi outside the studios in the early days, when a flock of paparazzi came running up the road. Anne was overcome. Her fame through her appearances on Psychic TV had clearly taken the journalists by storm! Here they were all flocking to interview her\u2026\u2026. and then they turned left and went into Radio One next door, leaving Anne in the road!<\/p>\n<p>Another time, Anne was left in the dark when the lights blew live on the show mid-broadcast. Viewers watched a black screen and heard Anne\u2019s dulcet tones continuing her text reading in the dark!<\/p>\n<h2><strong><u>&#8230;.and More Fun with Katie Keeley<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Anne Scholes met her great friend and colleague Katie Keeley at Psychic Today.<\/p>\n<p>Both appeared on the shows together and formed a friendship that has grown and lasted ever since. \u00a0As their friendship grew, the shows also grew. The shows lasted longer hours and eventually evolved to have a dedicated psychic studio and finally, their very own dedicated TV channel, later branded Psychic Today.<\/p>\n<p>Katie Keeley has also grown with the show. Like her friend Anne, she is always learning. She was away on an astrology course at the time this blog was written, but still took the time out to tell us a funny memory.<\/p>\n<p>One evening at 1am after a show, Anne Scholes and Katie Keeley went for a late bite to eat at the restaurant across the road from the studios. Neither of them had much money on them, and yet the waiters plied them with champagne, plates of food they hadn\u2019t ordered, boxes of Turkish delight and more! The ladies were quite worried as they hadn\u2019t ordered any of these rich treats. But the waiters assured them all was well. At the end of the meal, the owners came and took photos of them and told them everything was free. Fame?\u00a0 No! Yet again the restaurant owners thought they had come out of the BBC next door to the Psychic Studios! The photo of Katie and Anne was framed and put up on the wall.
