Mercury Retrograde – 10th May 2022<\/h1>\n

Ahh, this gorgeous and inspiring month of May<\/strong><\/a> is having the rug pulled from under it with the next frustrating instalment of the Mercury Retrograde<\/strong>! This is the second<\/strong> of four<\/strong> this year!<\/p>\n

Yes, that’s right – Four Mercury Retrogrades for 2022! <\/strong>Usually, three is just about acceptable, but cheeky Mercury<\/strong><\/a> wants to keep us on our toes by\u00a0throwing in a bonus fourth retrograde<\/strong><\/a>!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

During the last retrograde<\/strong><\/a> back in January<\/strong>, it was all about technology<\/strong> confounding us and making sure there were backups of everything! But what will it be like this month? Read on below!<\/span><\/p>\n

What does Mercury Retrograde mean?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The <\/span>Mercury Retrograde<\/b> first came to prominence through mythology, <\/span>Mercury<\/b> was the <\/span>messenger<\/b><\/a> of the <\/span>Roman Gods<\/b><\/a>. These retrogrades usually last 3 weeks.<\/span><\/p>\n

The word\u00a0Retrograde<\/strong>\u00a0comes from the Latin word \u2018retrogradus<\/strong>\u2018<\/em>,\u00a0which translates as\u00a0\u201cbackward step<\/strong>.\u201d\u00a0But of course,\u00a0Mercury<\/b><\/a> is NOT actually travelling backwards; it just appears to be<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

Imagine two planets moving side by side<\/strong>. One moving slower than the other, giving the appearance<\/strong> of moving backwards<\/strong> against the faster moving one!<\/p>\n

One Retrograde \u2013 Two Parts<\/h2>\n

So, with the\u00a0backwards feeling<\/strong>\u00a0of the Mercury Retrograde, the same thing applies to the\u00a0sun signs<\/strong> we are currently in.<\/p>\n

For example, at this point in May<\/strong>, we are in the sun sign of Taurus<\/strong><\/a>. But in retrograde terms, we are already in the next sign to follow, that being Gemini<\/strong><\/a>!<\/p>\n

Then the reversal happens midway through the retrograde, with Gemini<\/strong>\u00a0giving way to the previous sun sign of\u00a0Taurus<\/strong>. While the rest of us are in the sun sign of Gemini! The two parts are as follows:<\/p>\n

This Retrograde!<\/h2>\n

Patience<\/strong> is a virtue this retrograde! If you are waiting for an email or a phone call, try to relax<\/strong> and stay cool<\/strong>. It’s all about communication<\/strong> this time around and there may be a few problems.<\/p>\n

It doesn’t particularly help that is eclipse season and the unpredictability<\/strong> of planet Uranus<\/a><\/strong> is looking down in the sky above us to make sure that things don’t run too smoothly!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Don’t be disheartened, the month of May is glorious in all it’s colours<\/strong> and beauty<\/strong>. Take the time to enjoy this spring season<\/strong><\/a>! It might be a bit of a bumpy road, but nothing we can’t handle!<\/p>\n
