August<\/strong><\/a> sees the third and final Super Moon <\/strong>of the year. This moon is in Aquarius<\/strong><\/a>, <\/strong>and that carries a sense of mischief! It is a light moon, but\u00a0it has a certain warmth and feeling of reassurance around it!<\/p>\n

Intimacy<\/strong> and heightened sexual feelings<\/strong> may be more prominent under this Super Moon<\/strong>, which is heightened during this extreme heat we are experiencing! Temperatures are rising in more ways than one!<\/p>\n

This August Full Moon will head over the horizon around 2.36 am in the UK. Also known as a Sturgeon Moon,<\/strong> it’s the eighth Full Moon of the year and comes one month after the Super<\/strong> Buck Moon<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

This Super Moon is conjuct Saturn<\/strong><\/a> as well as square Uranus<\/strong><\/a>, for that extra bit of stability. Saturn in particular is exactly aligned in amongst the stars, which may add that excitement<\/strong> and passion<\/strong> factor!<\/p>\n

Certain Native American tribes called the August Moon the Sturgeon Moon<\/strong> because the\u00a0Great Lakes<\/strong><\/a> and Lake Champlain<\/strong><\/a> sturgeon were readily caught during this moon. They also called it the Full Green Corn Moon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Different tribes also used different Moon names. Other examples are the\u00a0Wheat Cut Moon<\/strong>\u00a0(San Ildefonso<\/strong>\u00a0and San Juan),\u00a0Moon When All Things Ripen<\/strong>\u00a0(Dakotah Sioux<\/strong><\/a>) and\u00a0Blueberry Moon\u00a0<\/strong>(Ojibwe<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n
