Birth of Ideas
The Ace of Wands is the first card in the Wands series. It presents the main themes; that of ideas, choices, options, decisions and indecision, paths to take, and obstacles holding people back. The Ace of Wands is a card of purer inspiration; the birth of ideas and creation of plans. The Wands are strongly connected to fire zodiac signs: Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. Fire and flames of wands suggest the strength, passion, and wanting praise.
The Card
The Ace of Wands is a spiritual card that’s connected to thoughts, like signs from heaven that ideas are planted in the mind, born from a spark of brilliance. These ideas have promise. This is depicted in the hand of God protruding from the white cloud holding firmly onto a single fiery wand. Birth of ideas. In the background, a castle can be seen in the far corner. The land between the wand (the idea) and castle is far. This is a visualisation that dreams can turn into ideas, yet, ideas are only the beginning- action comes later.
Reversed
In a spread, the ace of wands can give confirmation of ideas and plans. To nurture the single idea; however, don’t let the monkey mind go too far too soon. There’s no planning yet. Not all ideas turn into promising actions. So hold our horses, that idea you have needs more time. The Ace of Wands upside down can represent unclear ideas or more time is needed.
In Love
It can show growth of thoughts, missing someone, the initial stages of feelings. Someone else's emotions are developing, however, no action will be taken, or unable to, at this time.
In Career
In business, the Ace of Wands is a start of business. To work on those ideas, to develop and plan. To collaborate, discuss, and work out. Don’t skip this stage.
