Suit of Wands
Five of Wands
The Card
It's all too easy to take the five of wands as a negative card, a taboo card- but that’s not necessarily the case. It's a battlefield, or is it? The card shows five people in battle, in conflict with each other. They’re armed and ready. The wands now become weapons of conflict, strife, and struggle. And truly, the five of wands is all about conflict as the card suggests. But look closer. Yes, they seem to be at battle, but their stance and posture is static, in a statement, trapped by each other. The wands are in fact locked together so no-one can move forward. The five of wands is all about not going forward at this time. A clashing of minds, ideas, and thoughts. It's the artist who can't find the right environment to develop their ideas. It’s the person who feels like they're walking against the crowd of people. This suggests that progress is slow nor is it easy. But it’s not all over. Just a sticky point, a set back and obstacles to overcome. Who said life is easy?
Reversed
You can be your greatest critic. Once self-doubt sets in then its a one way path to self destruction And even self sabotage. This card can also suggest a feeling that a situation is over or lost completely. When, in fact, it's far from it.
In Love
Relationships are not always easy. It's that time. The five of wands suggest that, although things aren’t harmonious right now, with work and patience, relationships can get back on track.
In Work
Comminution can be a real stumbling block. Misunderstands in emails and messages. Make sure ideas are clear and avoid clash of ideas and wills.
