Full Moon in Gemini – 27th November 2023 – By Indigo’s Oracle
The Full Moon in November is on the 27th, and is named the “Beaver Moon”. This is the time that the beavers are building their dams ready for the harsh winter. Many people are now planning time with friends, family and loved ones to celebrate the end of the year. It’s important as always to be present and not living too much into the future.
End of November, the Christmas Trees go up and local town lights are turned on. The stimulation of the senses can be over whelming with the lights, sounds, senses and smells like mulling spices. For this month’s magical practice, we are going to do it in two parts:
Full Moon Magic: Creating Peace
What we are going to do is create peace. Clear the space you are going to create your magic in. Before you begin calling in your peace, remember mindset is important, so wrap up warm and go to a local nature spot and walk around the trees taking in the glorious colours, scents and sounds.
On the return, gather a plain piece of paper and write in the paper gently with a pencil, all the words, feeling and thoughts that are bothering you. Next, light the white candle and recite:
“Under the full moon tonight I ask the worrying and over thing to cease, I breath out disharmony and breath in peace, I breathe out disharmony an breathe in peace”.
Take a rubber and erase every word you have written! Next with your eyes closed recite:
“From this this full moon I will not allow anyone or anything to disturb my peace. I am in control of what affects me, I am responsible for my peace.”
Full Moon Kitchen Magic
Now you have changed the energy it is time for creativity. This month we are going to make magic biscuits. Ingredients required:
- 125g Butter (unsalted softened)
- ¼ spoon vanilla essence
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground nutmeg
- Half a teaspoon of ground allspice
- ½ cup Caster sugar
- 1 egg lightly beaten.
- 2 cups of flour
- Icing sugar
- Writing icing
- Decorations
- String or ribbon
- Baking parchment
Begin by preheating the oven to 130°C. Kitchen magic as all magic begins with intent start with stating our gratitude out loud or in our mind for the ingredients. First take the butter the vanilla spices and sugar them together. It is always easier to use an electric blender, but a spoon and some and some elbow grease will do.
For the magic to be powerful we need to be present put on some music that makes you feel love or loved you can always ask your music provider for a love playlist. Next you add the egg to the mixture and beat gently with a wooden spoon.
Sieve in the flour and mix to form a firm dough. Keeping the dough in the bowl and covering with cling film chill for around about 15 minutes within the fridge.
Use this use this time wisely consider just sitting and listening to music or whatever makes you feel love or loved maybe you want to dance maybe you just want to sit with the loved one’s photo.
When the 15 minutes has passed take the dough and roll it out to around about 5 millimetres thick uncut in the shape of love hearts, if you have a different shape you wish to use such as a star or a circle go with what works for you it’s always important with magic to follow your own guidance.
Next take a pointy tool such as a skewer create a spacious hole at the top of your biscuit.
Line a metal sheet with baking parchment and layer the biscuits with plenty of space in between them. It is better to make a few at a time and have them work out then fill up the tray and have them blend into one another. Bake the biscuits for 10 to 15 minutes until lightly browned, then allow some time to cool.
Use this time wisely just as before to listen to music to light candles hold on to that feeling of peace self-love and external love. Also, to consider that which you are so grateful for in your life it is very rare we stop and reflect.
Once the biscuits have cooled down then the real magic happens now you have a choice:
- Mark onto your biscuit someone you would like to remember, a memorial.
- Write a loved one’s name on the biscuit
- Mark the biscuit with a crush or a desired loved one’s name.
- If you love is trivial you can write your own name for self-love and you can also write within your biscuits something you’d like to call into the new year coming forward.
Allow the decoration to harden, and then string with anything you have to hand. To finalise the magic, hang your biscuit on the Christmas tree or other decoration, a twig will suffice. Recite:
“Under the Beaver full moon that is high above, I call in the powerful magic of love. Love makes the world brighter and go around so fast. Be it for a stranger, a friend, yourself or someone from the past. I am grateful for every person who shows love to me. I honour you on my sacred tree, Blessed be or so Mote it be.”
