Imbolc is a celebration of surviving the winter and looking forward to spring. Imbolc and the Snow Moon are exactly halfway between the Winter solstice (Yule 21st Dec) and the Spring Equinox (Ostara 21st Mar solstice) .

- Begin your ceremony by having a shower or bath using bath salts. Whist being in the water envision all the difficulties of the Winter washing away. This is a time for peace and purity. You may like some candles or joss sticks but be aware of the flame. Indulge in the moment for you, no rush, take your time.After the bath or shower put on some comfortable clothing and prepare yourself a glass of water with a slice or lemon or orange. The slices represent the renewal and the power of nature’s energy. Sip slowly closing your eyes taking time to clear your mind and relax.
Next go to cosy place inside your home or outside.
Take the plate and put some salt onto it to represent the cleansing then add a slice of lemon or orange to represent the renewal of your energy.
Place a candle on or around the plate to represent the return of the light and illumination. Take 3 deep breaths to centre and an another breath to call in the assistance of your guides.
Then using a clear space, take a pen and a piece of paper close your eyes and write whatever you feel inspired to write.
You may create a poem, be reminded of a memory, draw or even doodle. Enjoy this peaceful channeling moment.
Continue till you feel a natural stop.
Give yourself a few moments to take in what has been written or marked.
Offer thanks to your guides and know even if you don’t understand it now you WILL!
I recommend placing the paper somewhere you can see it daily.
When you are ready to close say “So mote it be” or “blessed be” and blow out the candle with a big smile on your face.
