What exactly is an Angel? From the Greek word ‘Angelos’, the angels are believed to be supernatural beings, classed as intermediaries between Heaven and Earth, there to give guidance and help to those who ask for their intervention.
Depicted with feathered wings, and usually halos (a circle of light believed to be caused by a good aura) there are special angels who have a fascinating background of history and legend. “It is these angels I call upon when carrying out angel readings, and the response and interest is amazing,” says angel expert Mystic Mary.
The angel is a triumph of good over evil
St Michael is one of the Archangels. His name means ‘a likeness to God and a source of kindness’. It is believed he has power of good over evil. “This means he could help you face adversities, overcome difficulties in your love life and material life, and give you the guidance to change direction to better things,” suggests Mystic Mary.
“In the old testament, it is said he holds the keys to heaven, and when the Great Plague took the lives of many Romans in 590 the priests prayed to him, the plague ceased – and indeed, there is a chapel dedicated to him in the Castel St Angelo in Rome.”
For knowledge of the future
The Angel Daniel should interest us all – as he is the Patron Saint of Psychics! Born in Syria in 409 AD he frequently had visions for the people around him. He is the Angel of Patience, so it’s believed that if you persevere against all odds and pray to him, hopefully your prayers will be answered! He also is the Protector of Children.
Angels for tranquility
St Raphael is thought of as God’s healing force and helps to bring a more tranquil life. “Another belief is that Angels can guide you away from hazards,” says Mary. “One client of mine even told me an Angel appeared to her, and told her not to travel in a certain vehicle. She listened, didn’t go, and found out afterwards that the vehicle was involved in an accident.”
So what will your angel reading reveal?
“It’s different for everyone, of course, but expect guidance on work, love and property – showing paths that can satisfactorily open up as well as paths to avoid,” Mary instructs.
“I have talked to people who have ‘seen angels’ and, very commonly, walked outside and seen a white feather lying at their feet. If YOU find one – keep it!”
