NEW MOON AND PARTIAL SOLAR ECLIPSE IN VIRGO, 21ST SEPTEMBER 2025

Previously in Virgo, there was a rare seasonal Black New Moon on 23rd August 2025, and a Total Lunar Eclipse on 14th March 2025 – so key themes will remain pretty much the same during this lunar phase, but with added bonus features. This is a unique New Moon and Partial Solar Eclipse in Virgo, being the only Solar Eclipse in a set of Lunar Eclipses – which brings the eclipse season to a close, a day before the September Autumn Equinox (Mabon), on Monday the 22nd of September 2025.
Today’s New Moon and Partial Solar Eclipse occurs in the zodiac of Virgo, a Mutable Earth sign. Mutable signs are ‘Flexible & Open-Minded’, Earth signs are ‘Trustworthy & Reliable’, and Virgo is ‘Caring & Detail Oriented’. Virgo is ruled by the planet Mercury (the messenger god) and is analytical, caring, communicative, detailed, inventive, self-reliant, and wise.
Following this Partial Solar Eclipse, some may feel compelled to strike out in a brand new direction, and heed the calling for profound life alterations – such as a new career that fits with your soul’s nature, or to move on or away and live life differently.
