The Joy of Life
We are only human; so to get it wrong and make mistakes is part of our nature, every day we have the potential to mess up.
Guess what? That’s OK!
To feel regretful and unhappy; is also an innate part of who we are too, however we feel these emotions; so we may learn from all the pitfalls of life. Not to indulge and wallow in the negative energy; but to search out and discover, the glow of positive energy.
Let us stop for a moment and tarry a while on these words: ENERGY – POSITIVE – NEGATIVE.
Energy suggest; power, strength and vitality.
Positive suggest; active, expansion and yes.
Negative suggest; decline, inward and no.
How interesting then that these three words are connected in both a poetic and scientific sense.
If we take the analogy further, we as individuals are energy too, when we look in the mirror we see a reflection, but what we see is dependent on what we are feeling. This is also true of what we see when we look at someone else or something else.
By being mindful we can create joy in everything we do!
Joy is an emotion that is felt when we feel happy and there are numerous reasons to feel joy, it’s not important what the cause of the happiness is, it is the effect on us that is the point.
At the moment of feeling joy; every cell in our body lights up and inside each cell the science is at work. On a molecular level that we can’t see but certainly feel the atoms are moving. In effect each cell is like a universe, full of life.
Look up at a cloudless night sky, full of stars and the space between them and you are looking at yourself. The metaphor being closer to reality than we know because on a minuscule level, each and every one of us is a galaxy.
Everything on our home, this planet Earth, came from out there, from every part of the universe.
So be mindful and remember every time life is challenging, painful or seems impossible, everything will pass; and joy can be just beyond the horizon.
“We are stardust we are golden and will get ourselves back to the garden”. To miss quote Mathews Southern Comfort band!
May you find joy in all things.
