Following our recent Introduction to Witchcraft article, I wanted to tell you a bit more about what it is to be a Hedge Witch at Psychic Today.

What is a Hedge Witch?
Hedge Witches, such as myself, work for the good of all those that inhabit this Earth. We work in harmony with the seasons and the elements, in synchronicity with Mother Earth.
Our ancestors were healers, using herbs and plants to aid those in need. Using their knowledge and wisdom for the greater good. We could define them as Hedge Witches.

How Does a Hedge Witch Work?
I work in solitude and communicate with Spirits and Faeries, and spend as much time as possible in the wilder parts of nature.
As a Hedge Witch, I celebrate Halloween or “Samhain“, as I call it, to honour those that have passed and embrace the “Crone” element of her.
The Crone is one aspect of the Triple Goddess, made up of Maiden, and Mother and Crone. This is also otherwise know as Neopaganism.

To celebrate this time, I, along with many other Hedge Witches, will honour the cycle of endings and rebirth. It is a very natural and organic path to follow and many people are already practicing Hedge Witches without even realising it!
