Create Your Own Magical Symbol – with Rafael
Crafting a magical symbol is an ancient practice known as Sigil Magic. Originally it referred to a type of pictorial representation or signature of a Deity/God/Goddess/Spirit energy.
In modern Witchcraft practices, it often refers to a symbolic representation of the Witches’ desired outcome.
There are many ways in which you can create your own magical Sigil to help manifest your desired goal. Below I share two very easy ways to do so.
Sigil Making 1
First, think of your intention of what you want to bring about and condense it into 1, 2 or 3 simple words for example ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP.
Then cross out all the vowels and any repeating letters in are examples case we are left R,M,N,T,C,L,S,H,P
Then using your creativity join and interlink all the letters together into a creative pattern. This may take a few go’s until you find a way of interlinking the letters that feel right for you (see example below).
Sigil Making 2
The other method is a similar process as the one above but includes the use of Runes. For this process, you will need to know the meanings of the Runes which can be found either in books or on the internet.
You simply choose the Runes whose meaning and energies resonate with your intention and then combine them together. This is known as a bindrune. An example of a relationship might look something like this –
X Gebo – Love/Partnership.
P Wunjo – Joy, Pleasure.
S Sowilo – Victory, Success.
Remember to always visualise and hold your intention of what you want to manifest while you draw it out placing that energy into the Sigil.
To add some extra power you can choose a specific coloured ink to draw your Sigil with such as Pink for romantic love, Red for passion and energy for instance.
How to use your Sigil/Magical Symbol
There are many ways you can use your Sigil/magical symbol to aid your manifestation such as.
- Place it somewhere where you can see it daily and use it as your meditation focus as you visualise and contemplate your intention.
- Carry it with you in your purse, bag pocket end every now and then empower it by looking at it and visualising your intention.
- Inscribe your Sigil/Magical Symbol on a specific coloured candle that matches your intention and gaze into the flame while affirming and visualising your intention.
- If it is a protection Sigil/magical symbol you’ve made you can use oil to draw yours on the doors, tables etc to protect the space or draw it in the air with the smoke of an incense stick.
Always remember to take practical action steps towards your goal alongside using your Sigil/Magical Symbol. Your Sigil/Magical Symbol won’t work on its own, it needs your practical input also to assist it.
